Moss Patterns

A tool for generating  patterns, inspired by rugs and lichen.

I've used it for a live wallpaper android app (slow growth, resets at midnight), live visuals for the DJ at a festival (routed through TouchDesigner for additional effects), textile patterns for the environment art in a game prototype, and for business cards with each pattern printed only once.

There are built in presets that control various parameters of the generation:

• Background colour (black or white)
• Draw colour
• How far the colour can drift from the start value
• Whether branch spawning changes the colour or not
• Speed of the generation
• How long to generate before resetting the canvas (minute/hour/day)

To fine tune a profile of your own, create a new one in the list.
